Appointment Booking Services
- To save your time, please use the 24-hour appointment booking services :
- At the Foreign Domestic Helpers Section, the following categories of applicants can make appointment through the Appointment Booking Services:
- Foreign domestic helpers submitting extension of stay applications with the same employer,
- Contract renewal
- Complete the remainder period of the current contract
- Mutual agreement for extension of current contract for one month
- Foreign domestic helpers submitting extension of stay applications with a new employer (Change of employer)
- You can select your appointment within the next 24 working days following the day booking the appointment.
- After an appointment is made, one may change or cancel the appointment. For changing an appointment, the earliest day will be the next working day of the date of changing the appointment.
- Subject to the availability of quotas on that day, applicant may also attend the Foreign Domestic Helpers Section in person to get a quota tag before his/her application be processed.

The Office provides the following services:
- Accepting applications for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) travel documents including HKSAR passports, Documents of Identity for Visa Purposes and Re-entry Permits, and issuing Re-entry Permits.
- You may book an appointment through the telephone booking system at (852) 2598 0888 or online for HKSAR passport application.

The Office provides the following services:
- Issuing Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passports and Document of Identity for Visa Purposes.
- After receipt of the Collection Notice issued by the Immigration Department notifying the period and office for collecting the travel document, unless receiving further notice from the Immigration Department, you may collect your new travel document at the selected office direct according to the prescribed details on the Collection Notice.

The Personal Documentation Submission Kiosks (PDSK) provides self-service application for Hong Kong identity card, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport and one-stop application of identity card and HKSAR passport.
Application for HKSAR passport
Applicants can submit HKSAR passport applications by using PDSK during service hours if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- being a Chinese citizen;
- being a permanent resident of the HKSAR; and
- being a holder of a valid Hong Kong permanent identity card.
Application for Identity Card / One-stop Application for Identity Card and HKSAR Passport
Persons aged 18 or above holding a locally issued smart identity card may submit the following types of identity card replacement applications via PDSKs:
- Replacement for an adult identity card for persons reaching the age of 18 and holding an identity card for persons aged 11 to 17;
- Replacement for a permanent identity card for persons having their eligibility for permanent identity card verified; or
- Replacement for a new smart identity card for persons holding a valid old form of smart identity card.
For other types of identity card applications, please make an appointment for your application at a relevant Registration of Persons Office through our online booking system (www.gov.hk/icbooking), 24-hour telephone booking system (2598 0888) or the Immigration Department Mobile Application. Persons who need to replace their identity cards which have been lost, destroyed, damaged or defaced may visit any Registration of Persons Offices during specified hours without an appointment. PDSK cannot be used for replacement of a HKSAR passport which has been lost, damaged, defaced or is not available or for applications requiring amendment of personal particulars in the passport. In such cases, the applicant should make an appointment to apply in person at the Travel Documents and Nationality (Application) Section or an Immigration Branch Office.
