Detainees can be visited by relatives and friends once daily. Each visit shall not exceed 15 minutes.
No more than two visitors, including infants and children, shall be allowed for each visit. All visitors or requests for visits are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. No prior appointment is required.
Visitors must register for their visits 30 minutes prior to the end of the visiting hours.
On admission to the Castle Peak Bay Immigration Centre (CIC), all detainees are required to declare the names of their visitors and their relationship with them. For visitors not on the visitor list, no visits will be allowed. During detention, detainees may add names to the visitor list or delete the existing names from it subject to the approval of the CIC’s management.
When making a visit, visitors are required to produce their proof of identity for verification and fill in on a Visitor Registration Form their personal particulars and their relationship with the detainee to be visited. Staff at the visit room will verify the information provided by visitors.
Visitors are not allowed to bring along their personal belongings during a visit. Electronic lockers are available at the reception desk for visitors to store personal items before the visit. The size of each compartment is approximately 39cm (Width) x 55cm (Depth) x 25cm (Height). Visitors are advised not to carry bulky luggage to the Centre.

Detainees are allowed to receive certain articles brought along by their visitors. In addition, if detainees need to receive certain articles such as shavers from their relatives and friends, they must obtain prior approval from the CIC’s management on each occasion.
