1868 Chatbot is a function of the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit (AHU) in the Immigration Department Mobile Application (ImmD Mobile App). It is to provide general information relating to the assistance to Hong Kong residents outside Hong Kong, e.g. lost travel document. The public can download the ImmD Mobile App for free from Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery or the Homepage of ImmD. Simply launch the App after installation and you can use 1868 Chatbot.
1868 Chatbot supports traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese and English. Users can choose different languages with the language menu at the top right hand corner of the dialog pane.
1868 Chatbot operates on natural languages processing and machine learning technologies. It analyses your inputted texts, so as to understand your needs and provide you the most relevant information.
Given the great variety of enquiries and limitations of machine learning, information provided by 1868 Chatbot may not be always correlated to the enquiries. We will strive to improve the accuracy of 1868 Chatbot by learning the suitable answers to various questions through conversations with users.
The computer system will record conversations with each user to monitor and enhance the performance of 1868 Chatbot. Nevertheless, no personal identifiable information will be collected. To protect your privacy, please do not provide any personal data (including names and contact details) when using 1868 Chatbot.
To contact AHU staff, simply tap the “Contact Staff” icon at the top right hand corner to contact AHU staff via “Message Staff” or “Talk to Staff”.
By choosing “Message Staff”, you can use the instant messaging function to contact AHU staff. The instant messaging function supports texts, photos, audio and video clips.
