The Immigration Department (ImmD) carried out a repatriation operation today (September 26). Staff were deployed to repatriate a Pakistani removee by boarding a flight from Hong Kong to Pakistan. During the journey, the removee was found suddenly unconscious by staff. Flight crew were notified immediately. The flight made emergency landing at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and the removee was sent to a local hospital. He was later certified dead. According to the information provided by the relevant authority, there are no suspicious circumstances regarding the death.
