A1: You can enrol for the e-Channel service if you:
- aged 11 or above;
- holding a Republic of Singapore passport valid for at least 6 months;
- have visited the HKSAR for no fewer than 3 times in the past 12 months immediately before enrolment for the e-Channel service. If you are holding one of the following valid documents, the requirement of having visited HKSAR for no fewer than 3 times in the past 12 months can be waived.
- HKSAR Travel Pass;
- APEC Business Travel Card with ‘HKG’ printed on the reverse side; or
- Frequent Flyer Programme membership card issued by airlines which have joined the Frequent Visitor Scheme (please enquire with your airline); and
- have no adverse record in the HKSAR.
If you are aged between 11 and 17, you are required to approach the enrolment office with a parent or guardian. Please also see Q8 for details.
A2: If you wish to enrol for the e-Channel service, you need to complete the enrolment at the enrolment office upon your visit to Hong Kong.
A3: No. You can only complete the enrolment for the e-Channel service at the enrolment offices located at the Immigration Headquarters, Hong Kong International Airport or Macau Ferry Terminal.
A4: e-Channel Enrolment Offices are located at the 7th Floor of the Immigration Headquarters, the arrival hall of the Hong Kong International Airport (after arrival counters) and Macau Ferry Terminal (before arrival counters).

A6: The enrolment process includes completing the enrolment form, collection of fingerprints and photo taking.
A7: The enrolment process will normally take around 10 - 15 minutes.
A8: If you are aged 18 or above, you are required to present your Republic of Singapore passport (valid for at least 6 months) for enrolment. If you are also holding a valid HKSAR Travel Pass, APEC Business Travel Card with ‘HKG’ printed on the reverse side or Frequent Flyer Programme membership card, the requirement of having made visits to the HKSAR for no fewer than 3 times in the past 12 months can be waived.
If you are aged between 11 and 17, you are required to approach the enrolment office with a parent or guardian. Your original copy of birth certificate and the valid travel document of the accompanying father/mother or guardian should be provided for enrolment. (Note: If you are accompanied by a guardian, the original copy of legal authorisation letter or court order should be provided.)
A9: Normally, you will be informed of the enrolment result immediately.
A10: If there is any change on the enrolment information, including the replacement or renewal of your enrolled passport, you are required to enrol for e-Channel service again.
If you are aged between 11 and 17, you are required to approach the enrolment office with a parent or guardian for enrolment. Please also see Q8 for details.
A11: You need to put your enrolled travel document onto the document reader at the entrance before entering the multi-purpose e-Channel. When the reading process has finished, you can enter the e-Channel for fingerprint verification. After successful fingerprint verification, a landing slip containing the conditions and limit of stay will be printed for your safe custody. After collecting the landing slip, which is issued upon arrival only, you can leave the e-Channel.

A13: You may also choose to use the traditional counters for immigration clearance.
A14: Enrolment for the use of multi-purpose e-Channel is free of charge.
A15: You can continue to use the e-Channel without re-enrolment. However, you need to submit a new application under this new scheme if there is any change on the enrolment information or if your passport is renewed / replaced.
A16: You are required to enrol under this new scheme if you wish to use the e-Channel service in the HKSAR. If you present your valid HKSAR Travel Pass, or APEC Business Travel Card with ‘HKG’ printed on the reverse side or Frequent Flyer Programme membership card for enrolment, the requirement of having made visits to the HKSAR for no fewer than 3 times in the past 12 months will be waived.
A17: You may apply for cancellation of the enrolment by completing the cancellation form, which can be downloaded here, and return it in person to immigration staff at the e-Channel Enrolment Office in Immigration Headquarters or at any control point in the HKSAR. Upon submission of the form, you need to produce your passport for verification.
If you are aged between 11 and 17, a parent or guardian should complete the cancellation form, which can be downloaded here, return it in person to the immigration staff at the e-Channel Enrolment Office in Immigration Headquarters or at any control point in the HKSAR and produce his/her travel document together with your original copy of birth certificate or the guardian’s proof of relationship for verification.
The cancellation of enrolment service is free.
