每當境外發生重大突發事故，入境處「協助在外香港居民小組」會為身處香港境外而陷於困境的香港居民提供切實可行的協助。 When a major incident occurs outside Hong Kong, members of the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit (AHU) of the department would provide practicable assistance to Hong Kong residents in distress outside Hong Kong. 隨着更多國家和地區給予特區護照持有人免簽證入境待遇， 香港居民外遊日趨便利，赴外地公幹或旅遊更加頻繁，在境 外需要尋求協助的機會亦因而愈來愈大。入境處一直與中國 外交部駐香港特別行政區特派員公署（公署）、中國駐外國 使領館、外國駐港領事館、保安局、香港特區政府駐外辦事處 及其他政府部門緊密合作，為身處香港境外而陷於困境的 香港居民提供切實可行的協助。 領保護航 排難解困 Consular Protection and Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Outside Hong Kong With more countries and territories granting visa-free access to HKSAR passport holders, outbound travel is getting increasingly convenient for Hong Kong residents. Going abroad for business or leisure has become more frequent, leading to an increasing likelihood of residents seeking assistance outside Hong Kong. The department has all along been working closely with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People ’ s Republic of China in the HKSAR (OCMFA), overseas Chinese Diplomatic and Consular Missions (CDCMs), consulates in Hong Kong, Security Bureau, offices of the HKSAR Government outside Hong Kong and other government departments to provide practicable assistance to Hong Kong residents in distress outside Hong Kong. 64 創新思維 以人為本 Innovative Ideas and People-oriented Services
